Inspired by a bold, geometric four-panel rug woven by a Berber artisan from Ghardaia, Algeria - a place known as "the pearl of the oasis," and the site of a yearly carpet festival where weavers from across Algeria present their woven masterpieces. Canyon Road pays homage to the stunning original textile and is reimagined in unique hand dyed natural fibers referencing the stunning New Mexico sky the moment just before dawn. Canyon Road is inspired by a textile in the collections of the Museum of International Folk Art in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
