| This collection of limited edition prints from the Kravet Archive comes from textile documents acquired from Vanoutryve, a textile weaving mill on the French-Belgian border town of Mouscron, that was in operation from the 1870s to the 1990s. At the height of their business, they employed over 7,000 workers weaving luxury textiles and carpets. Kravet's Chief Creative Director, Scott Kravet, acquired many of the original gouache paintings from Vanoutryve's archive which included over 50,000 original designs. These are now part of the permanent Kravet Archive in New York. | |
