Originally in white or beige tones, the vintage rugs the hemp was sourced from were used by the weavers in villages to dry fruits or parboiled wheat on top, under the sun. With different ways of applying tie-dye to a hemp carpet, fun and decorative rugs are created to reintroduce them into the world of modern decoration. The handmade hemp rugs that were used in the process of creating these contemporary pieces were about 50-60 years old. |
