Named for the breed of dog that the design depicts, Whippets Cotton is sourced from a mid-19th century block and roller furnishing fabric. Originally introduced to the British market in the 1850s, the design was reworked in the 1960s and 1970s for modern American sensibilities and adapted for updated printing techniques. This grand, full-width repeat features a finely drawn hunting scene and an ornate wreath of flowers. The new colorways stay true to the design's heritage with fresh versions of document-inspired palettes. The fabric is printed on fine cotton with a chintz finish for a polished hand. The design is also available in coordinating printed wallpaper.
